This October, the Indonesian capital once again becomes the vibrant epicenter of contemporary art as Art Jakarta 2025 takes over JIExpo Kemayoran from 3–5 October. Now in its highly anticipated new edition, the fair gathers 75 galleries from 16 countries, underscoring Jakarta’s role as a crossroads for artistic dialogue in Asia.
The fair’s scope is wide and ambitious, uniting established names with emerging voices. International powerhouses such as Esther Schipper (Berlin/Seoul/Paris), Kaikai Kiki (Tokyo, founded by Takashi Murakami), and Tina Keng Gallery (Taipei) join leading Indonesian exhibitors, highlighting the fair’s global reach and regional depth. At the same time, initiatives like SCENE spotlight collectives from across Indonesia, while SPOT presents large-scale works by artists including Ardi Gunawan and Aditya Novali.
Lead partners enrich the experience through dedicated showcases: Julius Baer hosts a bold presentation by Eddie Hara, Bibit features an introspective work by Agus Suwage, while Treasury and BCA collaborate with rising Indonesian talents for immersive installations.
Art Jakarta 2025 not only celebrates Southeast Asia’s resilience and creativity but also expands the conversation through cultural collaborations, including a special presentation from Natta-Cita Art Space (ISI Bali). Tickets go on sale 9 September at artjakarta.com.
