I believe that art is not just about creating an intelligent blend of style, colors, form and dimensions. It is also a form of story telling that comes purely from within.

Artist Biography
Sava is a painter, musician and street artist (graffiti) born in Papua on March 31st 1988 from gold mining environment where he studied at YPJ Freeport International School and move to Jakarta where he continue his education at SMAN 3 Setiabudi South Jakarta and finished his bachelor degree in public relations and mass communication at The London School of Public Relations Jakarta.
Start as a musician and have passion in film, modeling, and painting, he begin his journey for self exploration in art through music, film, books, psychology, psychoanalysis and occultism that makes him “a weird troubled kid”. In his journey through life where substance abuse, breaking the law and diagnosed with several mental issues makes him become an outsider, a misfits but also a free thinker. Those things that happened constantly creates a highly coping mechanism which he develop naturally by creating a persona in life. The duality of his characters escalate between his passion in entrepreneurship and art.
When he deicide to more serious in art especially painting, the streets becomes his playground and digging more about NYC & Europe graffiti culture with visual artists like Taki 183, Saeio, EKTA and Katsu and modern art pioneer such as Paul Klee, Rothko, Picasso and Kandinsky. The name Istanbul comes from a book by Orhan Pamuk Istanbul : and it became an identity in his music (ambience electronic music) and a street name in graffiti scene.
Istanbul in Chaos Paradoxical Art of Journey Revival
In his chaotic mind and life journey, art becomes the therapy to stay sane and embrace any possibility from a complex mind to be simplify into the creation of art itself. To face his own demons and turn it into a visual art or music takes it’s own toll. Istanbul start to serious archiving and branding his own works since 2010. The process of creation comes naturally from the streets, books and documentary. With pure curiosity and eager to learn more, Sava took 5 years to amplify with his Istanbul persona. Enigmatic, puzzled and simplify the complexity of his own mind.
