San Francisco, California is where my artistic journey began. Growing up with immigrant parents, I found solace in drawing at a young age, immersing myself in the world of cartoons and comics. However, my rebellious teenage years led me astray, as I delved into graffiti and street life.
It wasn’t until my 30’s that I embarked on a transformative journey, exploring different cultures and getting inked. Which reignited my passion for creativity. Now, I’ve returned to my artistic roots, embracing the beauty of drawing and painting once again.
Moving to Bali was a big leap for me, having left California, my family and friends behind to find a fresh start. Although with any big dreams, reality often comes crashing down. Adjusting to a new life in a new place, new culture, new language, and making new friends along the way. It became the start of something special for me. But personal struggles and issues broke a part of that dream. Now with broken dreams, at least I can still enjoy the palm trees and the fruit they offer.
This profile is a display of my works, made here in Bali on my journey of rediscovering art. These pieces are inspired by pop culture, media, aesthetics and art that I enjoyed. Bringing these characters, both real and fictional with the graffiti and street art that I grew up with. Whether you find something meaningful in these pieces, or love the look of them, I hope you get something out of these pieces. Showing off my artistic evolution, which may even inspire you to follow your creative passions!
