My artistic approach is characterized by featuring the color red and elements inspired by Asian cultures. From a young age, I have felt a deep affinity for the color red, which I later discovered holds significant and auspicious meaning in Asian folklore. Through watercolor and gouache, I aim to preserve Chinese cultural heritage by painting myths and legends. Although much of this cultural legacy has faded from everyday consciousness in China, I remain deeply connected to it and am dedicated to reviving it through my art. My aim is to preserve these nearly forgotten stories and to inspire others to value and maintain this cultural richness.
Aka Bichi, born in 2000 in Jakarta, Indonesia, with a background in Chinese education. From a young age, I had a passion for drawing and painting, but as I entered the world of
employment, I found myself being drawn away from my true calling. Realizing something was missing, I decided to fully commit to my passion. Without formal art training, I embraced the challenge, focusing on tattoo and painting in 2023. My artwork explores Asian Oriental styles, using objects and colors to reveal deeper meanings. I strive to revive legends and myths through my paintings, hoping to inspire viewers to reflect on themselves and connect with our rich historical heritage.
