At Tangi Street Art Festival, we believe in the power of art to connect, inspire, and transform. Our mission is to create a platform where artists, communities, and cultures come together through public art, collaboration, and creative exchange.
We are more than a festival, we are a movement that values art as a tool for change, supports artists with the resources they need, and celebrates cultural diversity through creativity. By working together, we aim to build a stronger, more connected community where street art thrives and leaves a lasting impact.
The Tangi Street Art Festival is a vibrant initiative by the Kolaborasi Dunia Tangi Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and celebrating public art. Founded in 2022 by a group of artists concerned about Bali’s quieted street art scene following the pandemic, Tangi—meaning “to wake up” or “to rise” in the Balinese language—was born to reignite creativity and bring fresh energy to the community.
More than just a festival, Tangi serves as a platform that unites people through creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange. Since its debut in 2023, the festival has become a dynamic space where local and international artists converge to share ideas, skills, and experiences, fostering lasting connections.
At its core, Tangi is powered by a passionate team of artists and volunteers who share a vision of transforming communities through the universal language of art. With goals that extend beyond murals, the festival aspires to inspire creativity, foster inclusivity, and promote sustainable cultural development. From brainstorming sessions to on-the-ground collaboration, the Tangi team embodies a spirit of togetherness, driven by a shared purpose to empower communities and create meaningful change through art.

For its 2025 edition, Tangi Street Art Festival takes inspiration from the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, a guiding principle that emphasizes harmony in three essential relationships—spirituality, humanity, and nature. Through this theme, the festival will serve as a platform where artists explore the connection between the divine (Parahyangan), celebrating spirituality and artistic expression; the community (Pawongan), fostering collaboration and unity through art; and the natural world (Palemahan), promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness.
