My artistic practice explores the intersection of memory, material, and transformation. I work across painting, installation, and spatial experimentation to understand how textures, colors, and architectural structures hold emotional and historical resonance. Natural and built environments often act as vessels of memory, silent witnesses to human experience.
Since 2024, my residency at Mabiang Seni has allowed me to reflect on the relationship between material and memory, and how our bodies interact with space and time. This exploration has shaped my ongoing interest in how environments, whether urban or natural that influencing consciousness and identity.
My process is intuitive and research-driven. I draw from lived experience, everyday observations, and material encounters, allowing the work to unfold organically. The outcome often takes the form of installations or paintings that act as spatial reflections, connecting the personal and collective.
I am interested in residencies as spaces for transformation, both internal and external. They offer an opportunity to listen to new surroundings, to unlearn habits, and to reimagine what art can communicate in dialogue with different cultures and geographies. Through my work, I aim to create visual and spatial languages that invite contemplation on memory, change, and the fragile balance between humans and their environments.
Rezky is an experienced Design Director of Suasana Studio with a demonstrated history of working in the design industry. He was experienced as a part time lecturer in Raffles Jakarta Higher Education with a strong arts and design professional with a Bachelor's Degree focused in Architecture Engineering from Parahyangan Catholic University.
As an artist and designer with a background in architecture engineering, Rezky’s practice navigates the intersections of space, memory, nature, and human consciousness. Through painting and installation, He translates abstract concepts into tangible forms, exploring how environments shape our internal experiences.
Rooted in a deep engagement with natural systems and personal narratives, his work seeks to make visible the often-invisible processes of memory, time, and perception. He was particularly interested in how built and natural environments imprint upon human consciousness, and how artistic practice can reveal or reshape these imprints.
