My art is a reflection of self—an ongoing dialogue between who I am and who I am becoming. The animal characters I create are vessels for this transformation, each carrying fragments of my ego, emotions, and aspirations. Their hollow eyes are not emptiness, but windows into vulnerability and curiosity. Through simplicity and color, I seek to express complex feelings, hoping to connect with others who are also navigating the shifting terrain of identity and change.
Zolalongor is a visual artist based in Denpasar, Bali, known for his evocative and symbolic artworks that merge self-reflection with character-driven storytelling. Since committing fully to his artistic path in 2017, he has crafted a unique visual language through animal characters that serve as mirrors of his inner world. His minimalistic hatchings, hollow-eyed figures, and use of striking color schemes lend his work a mysterious and introspective edge, capturing the complexity of ego and transformation.
I am an artist and co-founder of Yayasan Kolaborasi Dunia Tangi. Together, we organize the Tangi Street Art Festival to support the growth of street art culture in Bali. Through murals and creative programs, I work to create spaces that connect people, promote local talent, and preserve cultural identity through contemporary artistic expression.
