Artist Statement

I'm Dinda Astuti, also known as dindddung, a contemporary artist known for creating not only acrylic paintings, but also watercolor and digital art that promote body positivity and empower individuals with bigger bodies. What sets my art apart is my personal connection to it—I use my own body as a reference, infusing authenticity and depth into each piece.

My artworks often feature intricate floral elements, adding natural beauty and elegance while conveying themes of growth and resilience. Through carefully chosen symbols and visual metaphors, I challenge societal narratives and encourage self-acceptance, confidence, and resilience in individuals with bigger bodies.

I use vibrant colors and symbolic imagery to create visually striking compositions that resonate emotionally with viewers, inspiring them to embrace their unique beauty and worth. My art serves as a medium for sparking conversations about body positivity and inclusivity, making a meaningful impact on those who experience it.

Artist Biography

Dinda is a self taught artist and illustrator from East Java, Indonesia, based in Bali. Dinda is known for her captivating storytelling and imaginative creations. 

Her art have been showcased in few exhibitions,  receiving recognition for their innovative use of color and narrative depth. As a local artist she likes to build community, Dinda has conducted and organised live drawing sessions, sharing their passion for illustration with others. With a commitment to creativity and continuous growth, Dinda continues to push the boundaries of visual storytelling to inspire others.
